Lost internet for a whole neighborhood after a squirrel chewed through a main line in Austin last Tuesday

I was up a pole trying to fix a drop when the whole bundle snapped and went down, took out 47 houses. Had to call in a bucket truck and rerun 200 feet of cable in the rain, anyone else deal with wildlife ruining their day like that?

Squirrels are just doing their thing, wouldn't be such a big deal if the infrastructure was buried properly instead of dangling in the trees.

Read somewhere that squirrels cause like 30% of all power outages in the US.
