Alien tentacles came together with free packing materials
In my experience, you can find cosplay parts in unexpected places. I had leftover bubble wrap and foam peanuts from a box, so I shaped them with hot glue and spray paint for tentacles. Your mileage may vary, but it cost me next to nothing and looked pretty cool. Take this with a grain of salt, but it felt like a small win for my budget build.

Realize I tried something similar last year with old pool noodles and duct tape... let's just say mine looked more like soggy octopus arms than alien tentacles. Your hot glue method sounds way smarter than whatever mess I was doing. Always nice when free stuff almost works, even if my version belongs in the trash. Guess I'm better at unpacking boxes than building creatures from them.

Compare the texture of pool noodles to cardboard for holding shape. Your soggy octopus story makes me wonder if the material was just too floppy from the start. What kind of boxes are you unpacking that could work better?
