The final chapter that made me throw the book across the room, then apologize to it

I read a thriller last month called The Hollow Bridge by some author I can't remember. The whole story built up this mystery about a missing lighthouse keeper, and I was hooked for 300 pages. Then the last chapter just switched to a recipe for clam chowder. No explanation, no twist, just three pages of ingredient lists and cooking times. I sat there staring at the page for five minutes. Has anyone else hit an ending so random it felt like the printer accidentally mixed up two manuscripts?

Remember that book was actually two different novels glued together by a printing mistake.

So the plot twist halfway through was just someone's misprint, and we all thought it was genius storytelling. That explains why the ending made zero sense.
