Saw a huge difference after switching from spray lube to drip wax on my chain
I used to lube my chain every 200 miles with spray lube and it'd be caked in black gunk after two weeks. Switched to a drip wax about 3 months ago and the chain stays clean for at least 500 miles with just a wipe down. Anybody else notice their drivetrain parts lasting way longer with wax?

Yeah, the black gunk was the worst. I was actually cleaning my chain every week before and it still looked terrible. After I switched to drip wax, I've gone over 600 miles without a single wipe down and the chain is still pretty clean. My cassette and chainrings look brand new still too.

Oh man, I gotta push back on that. All that "cleaning" with drip wax is just hiding the real problem, you're still getting grit and dirt trapped in that wax layer if you ride in the wet or on dirty roads. Plus I've seen waxed chains wear out drivetrains faster because people stop paying attention to the wear and just let it ride for too long.
