PSA: A false low battery alert on a DSC Neo panel had me tracing wires for 6 hours

The system kept beeping every 30 minutes, but the backup battery tested fine. Anyone know a better way to isolate a faulty voltage monitor circuit?

Check the power supply board for swollen caps. They can mess with the sense circuit even if the main output looks fine.

Wait, swollen caps can mess with the sense circuit? That's wild. Never would have thought a bad cap could cause those kinds of phantom issues.

Yeah, that's how my old monitor died.
