Hit 500 saved songs on my Zune and it reset everything

Batching them in 50s makes sense, but ever think the counter itself is the trigger? Like the firmware has a hard floor at 500 and treats it as a full wipe signal.

My citation manager nuked 80 sources mid-thesis and I almost cried at the library

Used to swear by apps. Grandma was right. Never again.

Strip mall parking lot told me more than the lease did

You ever just trust a lease because the numbers looked good on paper? That was me before I learned the hard way. I used to think foot traffic was overrated, like you could just make up for it with online orders or something. But sitting in that lot for an hour, watching three cars pull in and two of them leave without buying anything, changed my whole view. I signed anyway because I was stubborn, and I paid for it every single month. Now I won't even look at a space unless I've parked there during peak hours on a weekday and a Saturday. That parking lot test is worth more than any clause in the lease.

Burned $2,300 on an AI contract review tool that missed a basic clause

Feel you on this one, that's a nasty $2,300 lesson and I hate that they just shrugged it off. Same thing happened to me with a redlining tool that missed a right of first refusal buried in an exhibit, caught it during a final skim two days before closing. These AI sales folks love showing you perfect clean leases but never the messy page 14 garbage that actually pays my bills. Manual read at 11pm is the real quality check, sadly.

Turns out my dog was reading the spines, not the pages

That's hilarious, but it makes me wonder if the dog actually knows what a book is for at all. Like, does he try to chew the pages when nobody's looking, or is it purely a chin-on-spine thing? My cat does the same on my laptop keyboard, and I'm pretty sure she's just after the warmth of the charger brick. Did you ever catch him trying to actually flip a page, or was it always just the pose? Maybe the glue smell is stronger on the binding, which would explain why he goes for closed books over open ones.
