inShowerthought: The 'easy' fridge defrost drain fix I did in 2021 just flooded a customer's kitchen last week.
Taragrant is totally right about kicking problems down the road. It's like when you ignore a weird car noise and just turn up the radio. For three years it's fine, then the whole thing dies on the highway. We do it with everything, from ignoring a small roof leak to putting off a tough talk with someone. The temporary fix feels so good, but it just lets the real issue get worse and more expensive.

inUsed to wrap my pork shoulder in foil after 4 hours, now I just let it ride.
My last foil-wrapped butt was the juiciest one I've ever made. That steam keeps all the moisture locked in so it doesn't dry out. A little soft bark is a fair trade for perfect pulled pork.

inMy sourdough starter turned into a science project gone wrong
Two weeks down the drain, that's rough. Harper_Wells is right about the nail polish smell though, that's a real panic moment lol.

inHad to pick between a classic straight razor and a modern shavette for a guy with sensitive skin. Went with the shavette for hygiene and it was the right call.
Consider how a shavette forces you to use a lighter touch. You can't bear down like you might with a heavy straight razor. That gentle pressure alone saves my neck from a world of red bumps and irritation. It's less about the blade and more about how the tool changes your whole technique. My skin improved because I was finally forced to shave correctly.
