A guy at the Columbus meetup told me my stabs were the loudest thing in the room, so I finally tried the band-aid mod
I'd been putting it off for months thinking it was overkill, but 2 layers of band-aid under the wire plus a dab of dielectric grease killed the rattle on my spacebar completely. Anyone got a fix for the enter key still pinging a little, or is that just how plate mount feels?
Two layers is the move, I did the exact same thing after putting it off for like four months. The rattle on my spacebar was driving my roommate nuts through a wall, and one layer of band-aid did almost nothing, but the second layer plus grease finally shut it up. For the enter key, the ping is usually the plate itself ringing, not the stab, so band-aids won't fully fix it. Try a thin strip of foam or shelf liner between the plate and the pcb right under that key if you can get in there. Also check that the stab wire is sitting flat in the clips, a tiny bend will make it sing no matter what you do.
