That time I found a romance novel with a guy who had two left hands on the cover

Last Saturday at a garage sale in Denver, I grabbed a 1980s romance called 'Midnight Embrace' for 50 cents. The cover guy was clearly supposed to be leaning on a fence, but his hands were both angled the same way, so it looked like he had two left paws. The blurb on the back said something about his 'gentle grip,' which made it even funnier. I showed my friend and we laughed for a solid five minutes. Has anyone else found a cover where the anatomy is just completely off?

Wait, are you sure those were hands and not just really dramatic shoulder pads or something? Honestly, I think you're being too hard on the artist. Back in the 80s, cover painters had like a week to crank out a whole scene, and if the guy's hands looked weird, that's just part of the charm. Plus, two left hands could be a metaphor. Maybe he's clumsy with love, you know? Like he can't figure out which way to hold her. I bet that book is a masterpiece and you're just missing the deeper meaning.
