Old comment about my neighbor's dog reads so harsh now, rewrote it today

Went back to a post from last March where I complained about barking at 6 AM, and it came off like I hated the dog. Added context that my neighbor was recovering from surgery and the dog was anxious, plus a calmer tone, and the reply actually thanked me. Has anyone else softened an old rant after learning the backstory?

Wait, did you delete the old version or leave it up so people can see how much you've changed your tone over the months? I feel like keeping both versions would prove something.
