Warning: My home salon lighting fix cleared up color matching issues

I was always guessing with hair colors in my home salon because the old bulbs cast a yellow glow. Last week, I swapped them for daylight LEDs after reading up on color rendering index. The difference was instant, no more squinting at strands under bad light. I can now see reds and blondes true to tone, which has cut down on mix-ups. Adding a simple dimmer let me adjust for evening appointments too. This small upgrade has been a huge help for precision work. Anyone else deal with tricky lighting? Curious what solutions you've found.

Totally! Good lighting changes everything, doesn't it?

Ever notice how bad lighting just adds ten years? Really makes my morning face a feature, not a bug, @jennifer_patel70.

My bathroom lighting is so harsh it feels like an interrogation. I swear it adds new wrinkles just for looking at it. I've started doing my makeup in the hallway just to avoid that cruel overhead bulb.

Switched to a ring light with adjustable color temperature for my own home haircuts. Lets me dial in a cool white for detail work or a warmer tone to check how it looks in normal room light. Found out the hard way that my old lamp made everything look way ashier than it really was. What kind of bulbs did you end up going with?
