My neighbor's story about a book that vanished from her shelf for a year, then reappeared in the exact same spot.
She swears she searched every inch of her house in Portland, including moving the shelf, and it just showed up again last Tuesday, which makes me wonder if anyone else has had an object do a full disappearing and reappearing act like that.

Totally believe it! My car keys did that once. Drove me nuts for a week.

Saw a whole article about this. Apparently small electronics can get interference from other signals, like wifi or even power lines. Makes them act all glitchy and send random commands. So frustrating when stuff just does its own thing.
