Just noticed the street sign on my block changed overnight
I walk my dog down Elm Street every morning. Yesterday the sign at the corner clearly said 'Elm Street' with a white background. This morning, it says 'Elm Avenue' and the background is a light blue color. I checked my phone's map and it still says 'Street', not 'Avenue'. I asked my neighbor and she swears it's always been 'Avenue'. Has anyone else had a local landmark change like this without any work being done?

My old apartment complex changed the pool hours three times in one summer. The sign would just be different overnight, no email, nothing. It makes you question your own memory. I'd check with the city planning department, sometimes they update records before the public maps catch up. That blue color sounds like the new standard for collector roads here.

Yeah, that's the worst feeling, @anna_nelson. It's like they want to gaslight you about when you can swim. Changing the rules without telling people shows a real lack of respect for everyone living there. I'd be so frustrated trying to plan a simple afternoon and finding the gate locked. Did you ever get a straight answer from the management about why they kept doing that?
