Noticing fewer battery gripes in new gadget reviews lately
Honestly, I was looking at some recent stuff like phones and speakers, and the reviewers just aren't talking about bad battery life like they used to. Tbh, it feels like companies finally got the message that no one wants a cool gadget that dies by lunch. I used to toss old gear because the battery got bad, but now it seems things just last longer. It's a small win, but it probably cuts down on a lot of old tech going in the bin.

I always figured better batteries meant less waste, but that glued-in battery point is a real eye opener. Now I'm seeing how they just moved the problem around.

That point about less tech going in the bin is spot on. But here's a twist! Better battery life might let companies hide other problems. For example, some gadgets now have glued-in batteries that are hard to replace. So when the battery does fade, you still toss the whole thing. Also, software updates can slow down older models, pushing you to upgrade anyway. It's like they fixed one problem but created new hurdles for keeping stuff longer.

Ever notice how repairs for cracked screens or broken ports are crazy expensive? Companies make fixing stuff so costly that replacing the whole thing seems easier. Better battery life is nice, but it doesn't help if the device is a throwaway after any minor damage.
