Just found out my blender works better with ice if I prep it first
Crushing ice a bit before blending saves the motor and gives smoother drinks.

I've used a rolling pin to crack ice cubes before tossing them in. Doesn't that save so much wear on the blades? My last blender gave out because I was too lazy to prep. Now I always take the extra minute.
