A client in Chicago told me my invoice was too low

I just finished a logo project and sent my usual rate of $300. The client emailed back saying they were expecting to pay at least double for the quality I delivered. It made me realize I've been undervaluing my work for months because I was scared of losing jobs. Has anyone else had a client push back because your price was too cheap?

My friend's client said the same thing to her last year, @oliviac22.

Scared of losing jobs" is a tough spot, but that client feedback is a good sign.

And that's exactly why I think the opposite actually... it's fine that you were charging $300 and that client was happy to pay more, but that doesn't mean the lower rate was wrong. You had a system that worked for you and kept your pipeline full, which is more important than one client's opinion. Getting paid consistently beats guessing what someone else thinks you're worth.
