Overheard a customer at the market say they'd never pay more than $15 for a bouquet
Made me think how much the work behind sourcing and arranging is invisible now. How do you explain your pricing to folks who just see 'flowers'?

Totally get this, overhear stuff like that all the time. People just see the final bunch of flowers, not the hours spent finding good blooms, prepping stems, and actually putting it together so it looks nice. I try to explain that the price covers the farmer's work, the gas to get them here, and the skill to arrange them, but some folks just have a set number in their head. It's frustrating when they don't see the whole picture.

People forget about the vase, the floral tape, and the wire. Each bouquet uses fresh flower food too, which adds up. The time to clean up all the stem trimmings and leaf bits is another hidden cost.
