My client's redness improved big time after we cut out a step

Hey folks, so I've got this client who has been battling constant redness for ages. We tried a bunch of stuff over the past year, but it always came back. Last appointment, I suggested she just wash her face with a mild cleanser and slap on moisturizer, nothing else. She followed it for a week and came in today looking so much better, like seriously calm skin. I was stoked, lmao. It feels awesome to see such a simple fix do the trick. Has anyone else had a good result by telling a client to drop a product? I'm curious if this works for other skin types too. What's your experience with less is more approaches?

lol my entire skincare routine is like 10 steps, maybe I'm the problem. Seeing this makes me wanna chuck half my products in the trash.

My friend Chloe had seven different serums she used every night. She was always breaking out and couldn't figure out why. One day she just stopped using all but a cleanser and moisturizer. Her skin cleared up in like two weeks... it was crazy. Now she swears by keeping it simple.

I was all about that ten-step life until this made me rethink.
