Saw a junior tech daisy-chain five power strips at a data center in Phoenix last month

Walked into a colo facility during a rack relocation job and found this kid powering three switches and a router off a string of cheap surge protectors. I get that patch panels are messy but that was a fire waiting to happen. Manager on site said "it's fine we haven't tripped a breaker yet." Have you guys had to deal with management ignoring basic load calculations?

That whole mentality of "well it works so far" is everywhere now, people just ignoring basic math and hoping nothing catches fire.
