I was cleaning out a 1998 Compaq monitor and found a whole snack bar inside

I was fixing this old monitor from a school in Boise, and when I opened the back, a full granola bar fell out. It was still in the wrapper, dated 2004. The thing must have been dropped in there by a student or teacher and sat for almost twenty years. It made me wonder what other weird stuff you all have found inside old gear. Any good stories?

Yeah, I started keeping a sharpie in my gym bag after @spencer_bell mentioned this. Just a quick date on the wrapper saves you from a bad surprise.

Yeah @spencer_bell, that's a solid tip. I read this article last week about a guy who almost ate a protein bar that was like, two years past its date because he just grabbed it from his bag. The wrapper looked fine at a glance. I mean, I've definitely done that with old granola bars before, where they get all weird and stale. Makes you double-check everything now.
