Tried that zero waste grocery store in Strathcona...

I finally checked out that bulk goods store down on Whyte Ave last weekend. Spent about $45 on beans, pasta, and some weird soap that smells like pine needles. The whole thing took me 45 minutes longer than a normal shop because I kept forgetting my bags and had to weigh everything twice. Honestly, the prices weren't much better than the regular store, but I did learn that I buy way more snacks than I thought when I have to scoop them myself. Has anyone else found a hidden gem there that's actually worth the hassle?

That pine needle soap has a decent shelf life. I bought a block back in March and it's still going strong. It's not cheap but it lasts way longer than the liquid stuff you get at the drugstore.

It's really just soap. $12 for a bar is ridiculous.
