Spent way too long standing in line at that new taco spot on Whyte Ave before I realized I could just order ahead on their app

Had to wait 40 minutes in the rain last Tuesday for a couple of al pastor tacos that were good but not worth that hassle, so now I always check if a place lets me skip the queue online before I even leave the house - anyone else hate wasting time waiting around?

Yeah I used to roll my eyes at people using apps for everything. Thought it was just extra steps. But after standing in line for 25 minutes only to find out they were out of what I wanted, I changed my tune real fast. Now I'm that guy preordering everything.

Stand there for 25 minutes and leave empty handed. That's rough. But preordering everything builds this weird dependency on your phone for basic stuff. I like the gamble. The hunt. Walking into a place not knowing if they'll have it. Makes actually getting it feel better.
