Saw a huge change in my lawn after switching watering times

I used to water my grass in the evening because it was convenient, but after 3 weeks of morning watering instead, the brown patches started filling in. Made the switch after a neighbor pointed out the evening water was just sitting there feeding fungus. Anyone else notice a big difference from just changing when you water?

Oh yeah, the morning thing is legit. But just a heads up - you probably want to water before 10am if you can, that way the grass has time to dry out before night. I mean, even a little later in the morning can still leave it damp too long if you're not careful.
