That $60 bag of organic frozen chicken thighs was a total flop in my slow cooker

I bought a huge bag from that fancy market on Elm Street thinking it'd be way better than the regular stuff... ended up with dry, stringy meat after 6 hours on low. Cost me $60 and a whole Sunday dinner. Has anyone else had bad luck with expensive chicken in a slow cooker?

Honestly isn't it funny how we assume pricey stuff is always better? I feel like so many premium foods are designed for fancy cooking methods not the basic stuff we actually do at home. Ngl it's one of those things where "expensive" doesn't always mean "works in a slow cooker.

Oh man that's such a good point lol. A lot of that high-end stuff with fancy oils or delicate herbs just falls apart in a slow cooker and comes out tasting like nothing. You're way better off with a solid mid-range brand that's made for long, wet cooking situations.
