Bought a $40 'slow cooker liner' pack that promised no cleanup - ripped on me three times and leaked all over the counter

Yeah I thought I was being smart skipping the foil trick my grandma used, but those thin plastic bags just tore right open and I spent an hour scrubbing dried chili off the ceramic. Anyone else just go back to spraying with Pam and hoping for the best?

Wow, three times? That's insane. I'd lose my mind by the second rip.

Did you catch that America's Test Kitchen tested those liners and said they basically turn your slow cooker into a steam bath, making meat dry and veggies mushy? I skipped the liners and just use a good scrub brush with hot water right after I empty the crock, and that's been way less hassle for me. But yeah, your mileage may totally vary depending on what you're cooking.
