Spent $800 on a new drafting tablet and it completely messed up my workflow

Everyone says they speed things up, but after six weeks of trying to adapt, I'm back to my old mouse because the hand-eye disconnect on the screenless model I bought just kills my precision for detailed HVAC schematics.

Ugh, that's so frustrating. I read an article last week about how screenless tablets have a real learning curve for technical drawing. The writer said it's like learning to draw all over again because your brain has to remap where your hand is. It makes total sense that HVAC schematics, with all those tiny details, would be the worst for that disconnect. Did you try any of those cursor placement exercises, or was it just hopeless from the start?
