Pro tip: A power cut in a Bali cafe taught me to always have a backup plan

I was in the middle of a big client video call from a spot in Canggu when the whole place went dark. My laptop battery was at 20% and I started to panic. I ended up finishing the call from my phone's hotspot while sitting on the curb outside. Now I carry a small power bank and scout for cafes with generators. Anyone else have a go-to backup spot when the wifi or power fails?

Oh man, I feel this SO hard. That exact thing happened to me in Ubud last year. My screen just went black in the middle of sending an important file. Total nightmare. I started carrying a massive power bank that can charge my laptop three times over. I also look for the outlets first, before I even order a coffee. If there aren't any free ones near a table, I find a new spot. It's just part of the digital nomad deal now.

Wait, you can charge a laptop with a power bank, @sams25?
