Honestly, I just realized my 2015 Duramax started idling smoother after I switched to a different fuel filter brand last month.

Wait, are you sure it's the filter brand making the difference? I've found that a smoother idle after a filter change usually just means the old one was clogged up. Any fresh filter would probably do the same thing.
