Spent 3 hours trying to find a safe way into the old Northgate Mall

The main doors were welded shut and every loading dock was blocked by a fence. I ended up walking the whole perimeter twice before noticing a busted vent cover near the old food court. It took another hour to clear enough debris to squeeze through. My friend in Omaha said he had the same issue at a mall there last month. What's the weirdest entry point you've had to use to get inside a closed building?

My buddy had to climb through a broken window on the second floor of an old hotel, which was sketchy as hell. The only way up was a wobbly drainpipe he shimmied. He got in but said it wasn't worth the ripped jeans lol.

A 2nd story drainpipe with those old cast iron brackets, you gotta check each one before you put your weight on it. @richard_west5 probably never tried climbing one at 2am in the rain. I learned the hard way to bring a small piece of plywood to brace against the wall so the pipe doesn't flex as much. Your buddy should wrap his legs around the pipe instead of just gripping with his hands, gives you way more control.

Sounds like your buddy made a simple thing way too hard, nancyd85. Couldn't he have just asked the front desk for a key? Ripped jeans are the least of your worries if that drainpipe broke.
