The register crashed mid-refund and I had to hand-write everything
Right at 6 PM on a Friday, our POS system froze while I was processing a $82 refund for a lady whose kid returned a broken hamper. I ended up writing down her card number and transaction ID by hand on a receipt, then taking a photo with my phone for the manager to key in later. Has anyone else had to do weird paper backups when the tech just dies on you?
