Tried swapping my stabs to screw-in and it was a disaster

Last week I spent 4 hours fighting with screw-in stabilizers on my Tofu build. The screws stripped on two of them because I tightened too hard. Has anyone else had this issue with aluminum cases?

Man, I was all about screw-in stabs for the longest time. Figured they were the best option no matter what. Then I tried them on a cheap aluminum board and had the exact same thing happen. The screw heads just turned to mush. Now I check the plate material first. If it's thin or soft metal, I just stick with clip-ins.

Yeah, that "turned to mush" thing is a real wake-up call. I learned the hard way too. If the plate feels like cheap, soft aluminum, you gotta go super slow with the screwdriver and almost no pressure. Honestly, half the time now I just use clip-ins for those boards to avoid the headache completely. It's not worth stripping the screw and getting stuck.
