My writing prompt notebook got soaked in a freak coffee shop accident
I was at the Daily Grind in Springfield, trying to write down a prompt about a sentient mailbox. A guy at the next table knocked over his entire iced latte, and a wave of it went right into my open notebook. The ink ran on about 15 of my best ideas, turning them into a brown, blurry mess. I grabbed a stack of napkins and tried to save them, but it just smeared worse. Now I'm trying to rewrite them from memory, but the coffee-stained pages look like some kind of sad modern art. Has anyone else had to rescue a writing project from a total liquid disaster?

Springfield's Daily Grind is a hazard zone for notebooks, I swear. It's just coffee on paper, not a house fire. Blurry pages happen, and rewriting from memory might even make the ideas better. Honestly, it sounds more dramatic than it is.

Coffee stains can totally ruin important details though, like dates or measurements. Hugo645 gets it, some thoughts just vanish when the original notes get messed up. My last coffee spill smudged a client's phone number and I had to hunt it down for an hour. It's more than just drama, it's lost time.

Wait, rewriting from memory makes ideas better? That's wild to me. My brain just deletes things. If my notes get coffee on them, the whole thought is gone forever. I tried to rewrite a grocery list once from memory and came home with three kinds of mustard and no bread.
