The week my local news station ran a story about 'unexplained' power outages
This was about two months ago in Springfield. For three nights straight, a few blocks downtown lost power from 1 to 3 AM. The news report just said it was under investigation, but the comments online blew up. One side said it was clearly just old infrastructure failing, pointing to the city's own report on aging lines. The other side was convinced it was a test run for some kind of grid control or data harvesting operation, citing a weird lack of repair crews during the day. The whole thing felt off because the outages were so precise in timing and location. What do you think is more likely, a boring cover-up for poor maintenance, or something more planned?
