That night at the 2024 Denver UFO conference changed how I vet speakers
I was at the Denver Marriott last April for the annual UFO conference. This one speaker claimed he had government documents about Roswell, but a guy in the back stood up and showed us all the same images from a 1999 Photoshop tutorial. Turns out the speaker had been caught fabricating sources at three different conventions before. Now I always check a speaker's past claims on forums like this before I sit through their talk. Has anyone else had a presenter pull something like that at a conference?

My buddy Dave went to a paranormal conference in Phoenix last year. Some guy was selling "recovered alien artifacts" that turned out to be painted rocks from a Home Depot parking lot. Dave felt like an idiot for buying one.

Did you catch that guy who claimed he was a retired Air Force colonel at the 2023 MUFON symposium? I read on a forum that his whole military record was fake, turns out he never served past basic training. I always run speaker names through the old Above Top Secret archives, there's usually some buried threads about them. Weird how these people keep showing up at conferences with the SAME old fake documents.
