My $300 night vision monocular showed me a drone doing something weird
Got this used gen 2 monocular off a forum guy for 300 bucks, mostly to watch coyotes on my buddy's farm near Waco. Last Tuesday I aimed it at a blinking light that was hovering still over the tree line. It didn't move like a plane or a bird, it dropped straight down to the field, sat dark for like 4 minutes, then shot up and left. No noise at all, and my ears are good. I checked flight radar apps and nothing showed in that area. I know tech like this has limits and could be parallax or my eyes playing tricks, but the descent was too mechanical. Has anyone else seen ground drones doing pickups at night and actually tried tracking one to the source?
