A new guy on a Gulf job kept asking if we'd seen any 'underwater UFOs'

He was dead serious, asking every day at the 30-foot safety stop. I finally told him the only alien I saw was a weird crab that looked like a tiny pizza box. Has anyone else had a greenhorn with a wild idea stuck in their head?

What kind of gear was this guy running? I've seen new divers get fixated on stuff they saw in a documentary. Had a kid once convinced he'd find a megalodon tooth on every dive, spent half his bottom time staring at the sand. Did your UFO guy ever explain where he got the idea?

Honestly he had this weird homemade antenna thing strapped to his tank. Tbh I think he saw some old conspiracy show and just ran with it.
