Pro tip: Spending $80 on a CGC graded copy of X-Men #101 was a total waste
I thought getting a graded book would be a solid investment, but it just sits in a box. The slab is bulky and you can't even read the thing without breaking the case. Has anyone else felt ripped off by the whole grading hype, or is it just me?

Reminds me of the time I bought a fancy French cookbook.

Grading is really only worth it for high dollar books you plan to sell soon. For a reader copy, that slab just kills the fun. My advice is to sell the graded book and use the money to buy a nice raw copy you can actually enjoy.
