My local shop's owner had a weird rule about bagging comics
I stopped by a place called 'The Comic Vault' downtown last week and the owner told me I had to use their special bags if I wanted any variant cover. I asked why since my bags are just as good and he said 'because I say so.' It was a 20 minute debate over something that costs like 10 cents a bag. Has anyone else run into shop owners with strange rules like this?

That owner sounds like a control freak for sure. Did he say anything about why the shop's bags are different, or was it just a power trip thing? Curious if he claimed they're archival-safe or something, because that would at least give his rule a little more weight than just "because I say so.

@the_hayden I actually used to think people were overreacting about stuff like this until I dealt with a shop owner who made me put my bag in a locker and use their brittle plastic ones. Made me realize it really is about control, not protecting the books.
