A regular told me my tomato sauce was too sharp and I switched to San Marzanos from store brand cans
He said it tasted like acid and I fought him on it for a week before trying his suggestion, now my Sunday gravy comes out smoother and I sell twice as much on pasta nights, anyone else had a customer call them out on basics like that?

Three days and I still haven't apologized to him, same energy as @the_morgan's store brand take haha.

Did you end up apologizing to the guy? I had a customer tell me my Bolognese was too greasy once and I got defensive, then realized he was right after I switched to a leaner meat blend.

Oh man, I'm gonna be the contrarian here lol. I actually think the store brand cans give it more of that rustic, aggressive bite that some customers secretly love but won't admit.
