That 'Cats of Instagram' coffee table book I grabbed at a thrift store - the lighting in the before vs after shots is wild
Picked up a 2018 copy for $4 and the first half is all blurry, washed-out photos from old phones, then around 2020 it's like someone flipped a switch with crisp, bright shots. What even happened back then that made everyone's cat pics look so much better?

You reckon it's mostly the phone cameras getting better, or was there something else going on with how people were editing their shots back then...
