Found out cats only meow at people, not other cats, and I felt kinda bad about my old cat
I was reading a vet clinic blog last month and it said grown cats mostly stop meowing at each other after kitten age, they save it for us. That hit me weird because my old cat Gus meowed at me nonstop for 14 years and I always figured he was just loud. So was he basically talking to me the whole time and I mostly just fed him and moved on?

Pretty sure they still meow at other cats sometimes though.
