Found out cats actually purr at frequencies that might help heal bones and tissues in humans

I was reading through some vet journal summary online last night and apparently they did studies showing that 25-150Hz vibrations from purring could promote bone density, which blew my mind since I always just thought it meant they were happy - has anyone else dug into this weird cat science stuff?

@leeknight you mentioned the vibration plates and that's exactly what got me wondering something else... if cats purr at frequencies that help bone healing, does that mean they've been doing something like that for each other the whole time? Like injured cats naturally seeking out purring littermates or something, a built in healing mechanism they evolved. Makes you think about how much we overlook animals just being animals without realizing they're basically running their own little clinics.

Hold on wait, so cats are basically little furry physical therapists? That frequency thing is wild, I keep picturing my chonky tabby purring on my chest and by that logic she's technically fixing my ribs from my bad posture. I read somewhere that the same frequencies (like 30Hz) are what those vibrating plates in gyms use for recovery, so I guess my cat is just a cheaper, smarter version of that machine. Still blows my mind that something so simple could have that kind of effect, makes me wonder if we're missing other crazy stuff about them.
