Rant: People keep bringing giant bottles of stuff they can buy there
Honestly, I saw a friend pack a huge bottle of sunscreen for a week in Miami. It took up a quarter of her bag. Tbh, you can get that at any drugstore for like eight bucks when you land. I bring a tiny travel size for the first day and buy the rest. Has anyone else switched to this 'buy it there' rule for liquids?

Okay but my old system was to pack the giant bottle and then also buy one there because I forgot I packed it. So maybe I'm not the best person to ask. I mean, I've definitely been the problem before. Finally switched to just bringing a little one and grabbing the rest at a store, and it's saved me so much bag space and also from my own forgetfulness.

A quarter of her bag for sunscreen is wild to me. That's prime space for an extra pair of shoes or a nice dinner outfit. I've been buying stuff like that at my destination for years.
