inSwapped my unheated bed for a 60C one and suddenly my first layers stopped peeling up
Honestly I used to be all about cranking up the bed temp too, thought it was the magic fix for everything. But you're making a lot of sense - if the bottom of the print stays soft too long, it's just gonna pull up when it shrinks. I had a roll of PLA that kept warping on one corner no matter what I did, and lowering the bed temp to 50 actually stopped it completely. Funny how we all think "more heat = better grip" until we see it fail in real time (learned that one the hard way).

inMy greenhouse buddy at the garden center called me out on watering wrong
@spencer_bell that 70s book was probably written before anyone really understood succulents. Misting jade plants basically guarantees rot, learned that the hard way myself. Ten days is solid advice though, just make sure the soil is bone dry before you water again.

inThat writing professor told me to kill my darlings and I fought him on it for weeks
Has a professor ever told you something so obvious it took you months to actually listen? My creative writing teacher kept saying my dialogue was too on the nose, but I insisted it was realistic because people do talk like that. I finally recorded myself and my friends having a conversation and realized we interrupt each other, trail off, and say way more with our eyes than our words. It was humiliating to admit she was right after I spent a whole semester arguing with her. Now I cringe every time I see a character say exactly what they're feeling in my old drafts.

inGot skunked on a great cloud photo because of my old phone camera
Actually, most phones combine those exposures automatically now. You don't need to do it manually anymore.

inMy client payment system was a mess until I switched to a simple spreadsheet
That color coding trick reminds me how I used to sort my laundry by color and still ended up with a pink sock.
