Appreciation post: the hotel front desk in Lisbon let me repack in their lobby at 11pm and it saved my carry-on only trip

Laughed at this because I'm the exact opposite of a carry-on only traveler. I once showed up to a hotel in Madrid with a bag so stuffed the zipper was holding on for dear life, and the front desk guy watched me sit on it in the lobby trying to force it shut. He did not offer to help, just gave me a look like I was a walking disaster. You found the good ones, that Lisbon crew sounds like they actually care about the people staying there. It's wild how much a small act like letting someone repack at 11pm can mean when you're living out of one bag. Makes me want to give the carry-on life another shot, or at least pack like less of a maniac next time.
