Blanked during a job interview in Denver last month until I used a trick my buddy shared

I froze up when they asked about a time I handled conflict at work. I had a story ready but my mind went totally blank. My buddy told me to keep a notecard in my pocket with just 3 bullet points for stories like that. I tried it at my next interview with a different company and it worked so well I actually nailed the answer. The recruiter even said they liked how specific I got about the situation. Has anyone else used notes during interviews without the hiring manager thinking it's weird?

honestly the notecard trick is clutch. i did the same thing for my last interview and just glanced down once when i got stuck. nobody even noticed. better than freezing up and staring at the ceiling for 10 seconds.

I remember my dad hiding a tiny cheat sheet in his suit jacket for his big promotion interview back in '82 and he swore by it.
