Switched from isopropyl 70% to 99% for cleaning sensor contacts... wow
Been fighting intermittent issues on a Nikon D700 for months. Kept cleaning with 70% from the drugstore cause it was cheap. Finally grabbed 99% from Amazon and the difference is crazy. No residue left behind, contacts actually stay clean. Anyone else deal with that film the 70% leaves behind?

Nah the 70% leaves this weird white haze that drives me nuts. Saw it on the battery terminal contacts too and thought the camera was dying. The 99% evaporates way faster and doesn't leave that crud behind. Cleaned my D800's memory card slot pins with it last week and zero issues since.

That 99% stuff really is the way to go for electronics. I actually use the 99% with some q-tips and it dries so fast I don't even worry about it getting into ports anymore.
