One comment from a foreman changed how I do every drop now
He watched me terminate a connector and said, "you're stripping too much, that's why you get intermittent signal leaks"... switched to a 3/8 strip and my failure rate dropped from about 1 in 15 to almost zero. Anyone else get a one-liner that fixed a habit you'd had for years?

Man, I always figured stripping more gave you more room to work with so it had to be safer. I even argued with a guy about it once, said he was being too picky with his 3/8 marks. Then I started logging my own fails and like half of them were on the longer strips, signal all over the place when I wiggled the cable. Switched over and it was night and day, same as you, my rework dropped off a cliff. Guess the old guy knew what he was talking about and I was just too stubborn to see it.
