My old foreman in Tampa told me to always use a torque wrench on F-connectors, and I finally get why.

He said 'a stripped port costs us $150 and a callback,' which never clicked until I had to replace a whole wall plate last week. Anyone else have a rule they ignored at first but now swear by?

Yeah, that torque spec is there for a reason, learned that the hard way too.

Did @henrybaker strip a bolt or snap something off? I feel like that's a rite of passage for anyone who works on their own stuff. Once you've had to drill out a broken fastener you never skip the torque wrench again.

Honestly it feels like a lot of modern life ignores the manual. People just guess or follow a bad tutorial and then wonder why things break. That torque spec mindset saves so much hassle.
