Cutting a customer's drywall opened for a new outlet taught me to always check for studs first
Guy told me I was lazy for not using a stud finder before drilling, so now I carry a Franklin Sensors one on every job. Anyone else run into angry homeowners over something simple like that?

Yeah the "lazy" comment hits different when you're just trying to be careful... I've had homeowners freak out over me not using a stud finder on a simple outlet cut-in too, so now I just whip it out right in front of them before I even grab the drill.
